Guardians of the forest equilibrium
1. Respect for the environment: We are aware of the impact of our activity on the planet. That’s why we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint. Our products are made from wood from sustainable and renewable sources. We are proud to hold the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certifications, which guarantee that our products come from responsibly managed forests.
FSC certification
Created in 1993, the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) is an international label guaranteeing that the wood used complies with sustainable forest management procedures.
The FSC label covers issues that extend beyond forests, against environmental degradation, in terms of biodiversity and landscapes, but also against the social upheaval that can be caused by poor forest management. It is estimated that 60 million people live in forests and that 1.6 billion people worldwide depend on forests for their survival.
Forest degradation contributes to the disappearance of thousands of animal and plant species every year, so responsible forest management that respects biodiversity, ecological balance and water resources is essential.
PEFC certification
The PEFC certification programme is based on the sustainable management criteria defined by the Interministerial Conferences for the Protection of Forests in Europe.
For the past 20 years, PEFC France has been promoting a balance between the environmental, social and economic dimensions of forestry through guarantees of sustainable practices and the involvement of 74,500 forest owners and over 3,100 companies in France.
