Félix Plantier sets up a parquet and panelling factory in Mimizan.

The family business goes industrial. An automated sawmill and a high-performance wood drying unit were built.

Verniland 1974
1974

Major innovation

Alain Plantier creates the first ‘Verniland’ varnished panelling. Installation of a varnishing unit near the first site.

1980

French No. 1

The Verniland brand becomes No. 1 for decorative panelling sold in France.

1990

Christian Plantier takes over as Chairman of the Group.

1991

Takeover of Ducourneau, a manufacturer of wide parquet flooring, in Pontenx-Les-Forges.

1996

Christian Plantier decided to merge the three companies Félix Plantier, Verniland and Ducourneau to create a new structure: FP BOIS.

FP Bois has acquired the assets of Jean Plantier. This strategic investment is of key importance for the future development of the company, thanks to the land reserve it will provide.

2004

Eric Plantier succeeds his father and becomes Chairman of CP Holding and Chairman of FPBois. Christian Plantier becomes Chairman of the Holding’s Supervisory Board.

Launch of PURE HOME®, a patented finishing technology that helps to purify interiors. Verniland becomes PURE HOME®.

Creation of a showroom to welcome customers and architects.

Process optimisation using the latest vision technology applied to maritime pine, aimed at optimising the raw material. 6 million investment in a new-generation edger.

Creation of SAS Beyria Emballages, the specialist in made-to-measure packaging and technical wooden panels.

Creation of the CSR Charter: Evaluation of our CSR performance and responsible purchasing by Ecovadis: Bronze Medal obtained in the first year.

 

The Bois de France label, which recognises the work of the French timber industry.

2024

Creation of the Maison Félix Plantier Endowment Fund, with the aim of bringing together the Group’s industrial know-how and the artistic sensibility of Mr Christian Plantier.
